Everything you need to know about what comes free with your entree, how the 3-Pointer pricing system works, and how to maximize protein per dollar at Chipotle.

1. Free Extra Rice, Beans, Fajita Veggies & Salsas

When ordering any Burrito Bowl, Burrito, Salad, or Tacos in-store, asking for extra Cilantro-Lime Rice, extra Black or Pinto Beans, Fajita Veggies, Salsas, Sour Cream, Cheese, or Romaine Lettuce is completely free. Ordering a Veggie Bowl or Veggie Burrito ($9.50) also includes a full 4 oz scoop of hand-mashed Guacamole at no extra charge.

2. The Chipotle 3-Pointer Hack & Kid's Meal Value

Chipotle cashiers count proteins, queso, and guac as 2 points and all other toppings (rice, beans, salsas, cheese, sour cream, veggies) as 1 point. Ordering a bowl with exactly 3 points (e.g., Chicken + White Rice) rings up as a 3-Pointer (~$7.50–$8.75). For light eaters, the Kid's Build Your Own ($5.75) includes two tacos, a protein, two fillings, fruit or chips, and a drink.

3. High-Protein Ordering & In-Store vs. Delivery Prices

For the best protein-per-dollar ratio, choose Grilled Chicken (180 cal, 32g protein — $9.65 bowl) or add Steak (150 cal, 21g protein). Always order in-restaurant or via official app pickup to avoid the 15%–25% menu price markup charged on third-party delivery apps.
